Best Diesel Fuel Additive for Your Truck

You’ve probably heard of guys putting additives into their diesel tanks (whether it's a Powerstroke, Cummins, or Duramax). You know, “those guys”. Why You Need Additives (The CP4 Problem)

So, why should you spend your hard earned money on a fuel additive? Your high pressure fuel pump is in charge of turning your low pressure fuel into high pressure fuel and sending it up to the injectors. High pressure fuel pumps can go up to 30,000psi and higher. Your injectors have extremely small orifices that inject that fuel. Each of these components are working hard. Both of these components only use the fuel that's going through them to lubricate themselves. That is by design. That wouldn't be an issue, except the diesel fuel quality in America is not great. In fact, the ultra low sulfur diesel we have here in the states does NOT sufficiently lubricate the high pressure fuel pump and injectors. This can easily cause premature wear or if you have a CP4 pump that plagues the 6.7l Powerstrokes and some LML Duramax and Cummins platforms, can grenade itself and take out your entire fuel system.
