If you are looking for the best Banks Power and S&S Diesel 6.7 Powerstroke Upgrades, look no further than Power Forge Diesel in Yuma.

This week we performed several Banks Power and S&S Diesel 6.7 powerstroke upgrades on a 2014 Ford F-350. If your truck is acting sluggish or throwing exhaust codes, this "domino effect" of failures might sound familiar.

The Symptoms: Low Boost and Constant Regens

The customer brought the truck to us reporting:

  • Active DPF Codes: The truck was struggling with emissions errors.

  • Excessive Soot & Frequent Regens: The DPF was filling up far too quickly.

  • Low Boost Pressure: A noticeable loss of power under load.

The Diagnostic: The Infamous Cold Side Boost Leak

After a thorough inspection, we identified a significant boost leak coming from the factory plastic cold side boost tube.

On the 6.7L Powerstroke, a boost leak isn't just a loss of power—it’s an engine killer. When air escapes before reaching the cylinders, the engine runs "rich" (too much fuel, not enough air). This results in excessive soot, which clogs the intake plenum and prematurely chokes the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter).

The Solution: Banks Power and S&S Diesel 6.7 Powerstroke Upgrades

Instead of replacing the failed part with another plastic factory tube that is prone to cracking, we installed Banks Power Hot and Cold Side Boost Tubes.

  • Durability: High-quality mandrel-bent powder-coated steel.

  • Performance: Improved airflow and eliminated the risk of future "burst" failures.

  • Aesthetics: That signature Banks Red looks great under the hood!

Preventing the $15,000 "Grenade"

While the truck was in, the customer made the smart move to install an S&S Diesel Motorsport CP4 Disaster Prevention Kit.

Did you know? Every 6.7L Powerstroke from 2011 to the present uses the Bosch CP4 high-pressure fuel pump. When these pumps fail (often due to poor fuel quality), they "grenade," sending metal shards through the entire fuel system.

By installing the bypass kit, the customer is protected. If the pump fails, the kit redirects the debris back to the tank and filters, saving the injectors and rails. It’s the difference between a $1,000 pump replacement and a $10,000–$15,000 total fuel system overhaul.
